Trained Dogs

Occasionally we will have a puppy or adult dog that has been started on or has finished training. Training includes house training, crate training, sit, down, loose leash walking, heel, come, place, off-leash obedience, and general manners.

Getting a dog or puppy that has already been started on training is a great option for families that don't have the time to start a puppy's training right from scratch. Adopting a trained dog or puppy is also a great way to skip our waitlist! Trained dogs and puppies are first come first served to pre-approved families (please fill out an adoption application prior to attempting to reserve a trained dog or puppy).

At this time, we don't have any pre-trained dogs available. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in a future trained dog.

Turnkey Doodle

A trained older puppy or young adult dog, ready to join your family!

We are now offering a few "turnkey" spots per year! This is your chance to receive a pick of the litter puppy who has been raised in home and fully trained prior to joining your family. You will have the option to jump ahead of our waitlist (Taking one of our "breeder's pick" spots) and select a puppy from any of our upcoming litters. We will pre-approve puppies who have the appropriate temperament, biddability, and food/toy drive to participate in our turnkey program, and you will have the opportunity to choose from any of those puppies. Litters that are already over 1 week of age may not be eligible for our turnkey program if you have not reserved a spot ahead of time.

We keep turnkey puppies until approximately 7.5 months of age. Exact training times may vary slightly depending on the individual puppy.

Your turnkey puppy will come with the following on leash training:

Crate trained
Socialized
Trained to walk politely on a leash - no pulling!
Sit until released
Lay down until released
Remain on "place" until released
Come when called
Heel on a leash
Used to road trips and traveling in a car
Accustomed to handling, grooming, nail trims, etc.

Additional training is available for families who want their puppy to be trained to a higher level.

Training includes:

Trupanion health insurance for your dog throughout the time we have him/her
As needed grooming and maintenance to prevent matting and introduce professional grooming (bath, brush, sanitary trim, nail trim, paw pad trim and blow dry approximately once every 4 weeks)
One creative groom in a style of your choice prior to pickup
Dog food will be provided by us throughout the training, we feed Purina Pro Plan Performance 30/20 Salmon and Rice
All vaccines, deworming and vet care including flea tick and heartworm preventatives
